The 74-year-old minister tested positive on March 20 "
as a result of respiratory symptoms
", before those around her announced her hospitalization last Wednesday.

The next day, Ms. Bachelot announced on her Twitter account that she was undergoing "
enhanced oxygen therapy
" treatment

This treatment aims to artificially supply oxygen to a patient in order to restore or maintain a normal level of oxygen in the blood.

If things are confirmed, discharge from the hospital will be considered in the coming days

Former Minister of Health, Ms. Bachelot had received a first dose of vaccine on March 17, three days before being tested positive.
Roselyne Bachelot is the second member of the government sick with the coronavirus and hospitalized, after the Minister of Labor Élisabeth Borne, 59, who left the hospital last week.
