Covid crisis: young Imagine'R subscribers will be able to be reimbursed 85 euros

This is the abnormal situation experienced by many high school and college students in Ile-de-France this year.

An injustice which should in part be repaired if we believe the president of the Ile-de-France region, Valérie Pécresse.

In order to "compensate" young travelers under 26, already severely affected by the Covid-19 health crisis, the latter announced on Wednesday that a payment of 85 euros will be granted to 500,000 holders of a Imagine'R pass.

“Unlike the Navigo pass, it is not possible to suspend the Imagine'R pass.

Each quarter, there is the equivalent of a month that has not been consumed, says the elected, in an interview with 20 Minutes.

We therefore decided for these students, often in a precarious situation, to make a gesture of compensation ”.

A special measure estimated at 43 million euros

A platform to submit an application will be put online from April 22.

“You will have to enter your Imagine'R student pass number.

And [applicants] will be refunded to their account.

Until then, I warn against fraudulent sites, as for each compensation ”, warns Valérie Pécresse.

This sum of 85 euros corresponds to "three months of Imagine'R", adds Valérie Pécresse.

With a total cost estimated at 43 million euros, this exceptional measure will be submitted on April 14 to the vote of the administrators of Ile-de-France Mobilités, the authority in charge of transport.
