The show was due before December on the stages of the Longacre Theater on Broadway.
But the Covid-19 decided otherwise.
The new musical dedicated to Lady Di will premiere on Netflix, the producers announced on Tuesday.
Soberly titled
Diana
, the show will be available from October 1, two months before the theater reopens on December 1, if the health crisis allows it.

“The chance to share our show, first with Netflix's global audiences, and then to host a live audience on Broadway, is something we've all been dreaming of for over a year,”
the producers said.
Indeed, the theaters of the emblematic district lowered the curtain last March, and this, at least until June 2021.

Erin Davie will lend her features to Camilla Rosemary Shand while Judy Kaye will play Queen Elisabeth II.
Twenty-four years after her death under the Alma Bridge in Paris in 1997, Lady Di still fascinates.

Spencer is
about to emerge under the camera of Pablo Larraín with Kristen Stewart in the title role.
Expected for next fall, it should hit screens at the same time as the new musical.
