An incident of falling from a window and hurting people occurred in Chai Wan.
At 8 am today (31st), the aluminum window frame of a unit in Hangtian Tower, Haitian Garden, Taikoo Shing fell loose, and hit a passing woman.
She was injured in the face, and security guards found out and called the police.
Ambulance personnel arrived at the scene and sent the 64-year-old injured woman surnamed Zhu to the hospital for treatment.
After the police arrived at the scene, they found an aluminum window frame measuring 130 cm by 30 cm. After preliminary investigation, the unit where the window fell was found. A 54-year-old male household named Xiang was arrested on suspicion of allowing objects to fall from a height.
The case was handed over to the third team of the Eastern District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.
