Since Li Baiquan, the new broadcasting director of Radio Hong Kong, took office on March 1, several programs have been selected.

Today (31st) the management of RTHK has another new move. The news stated that RTHK’s radio department received a notice from the management today, requesting to suspend the submission of works to participate in any award selection; even if the entries have been submitted, they must write to them. The organizer requires withdrawal from the competition.

According to the front-line news of the radio department, the management has yet to explain and explain the relevant arrangements to the front-line staff.

The "Human Rights Journalism Award" co-organized by the Hong Kong Branch of Amnesty International, the Association of Journalists and the Association of Photographic Records confirmed that it had received a notice from the Director of Broadcasting to withdraw all registered awards.

However, the group pointed out on the special page that since the selection process has already started and only the participants can request to withdraw from the competition, they have not withdrawn any Hong Kong and Taiwan registration.

In response to the enquiry of "Hong Kong 01", RTHK stated that RTHK is reviewing all aspects of its operations, including reviewing the mechanism for nominating TV and radio programs to participate in the selection of local, mainland and international awards.

During this period, RTHK will not participate in the selection of any awards, and will also withdraw from the nominations for awards that have already participated.

RTHK has stated earlier that in order to strengthen editorial management, it has introduced a brand-new editorial management mechanism since March. An editorial committee is formed by the director and senior management to perform editorial responsibilities and select at least three programs, namely "Hong Kong Story: Epidemic Walker" (an episode originally scheduled to be broadcast on March 7), "Discussions and Discussions" (an episode originally scheduled to be broadcast on March 11), and "The Clang Collection" (previously scheduled for 3 Episode aired on the 29th).

There is news today that the Radio Department of RTHK received a notice from the management to suspend the submission of works to the competition. For works that have already entered the competition, they must also write to the organizer to request withdrawal from the competition because the "management has to review the mechanism."

It is understood that the competitions that have been asked to withdraw include the local Consumer Rights News Awards, the Human Rights News Awards, and the international American International Film and TV Festivals.

However, there is news that the radio department has not officially announced the relevant news to all employees.

However, the Human Rights Journalism Awards continued to point out that since the selection process for this year's awards has already started and only participants can withdraw from the competition, no Hong Kong and Taiwan applications have been withdrawn.
