Daraa-Sana
Daraa Farmers Union established three associations of poultry farmers in Khirbet Ghazaleh and Maaraba, and intended to find out the reality of poultry raising and work to find solutions to the problems that hinder work.
Ahmed Hegazy, head of the Agricultural Affairs Office of the Daraa Peasant Union, explained to the SANA Economic Bulletin that this step falls within the framework of efforts to improve the production process and preserve livestock by studying the reality of work and evaluating it to take appropriate measures to support the breeders, explaining that the selection of towns and cities was based on their mediation of breeding places. Al-Farooj, where the town of Maaraba and the eastern region includes about 57 poultry farms, Khirbet Ghazaleh and their villages, 50 poultry farms, while the number of poultry farms in the city of Nawa and its areas exceeds 63.
For his part, the Secretary of the Agricultural Association in Daraa, Abd al-Ilah al-Zahir, indicated in a similar statement that the main task of the poultry breeders' associations is to support workers in this sector to ensure the continuity of production, increase it and reduce its costs by securing production requirements for breeders such as feed, veterinary medicines and others.
Ahmed Al-Amour, a broiler breeder, considered that establishing poultry breeders' associations is a good step to protect the rights of breeders and solve their problems collectively, in addition to providing support in the field of production requirements such as agricultural associations, as well as reducing the burden of movement on breeders to secure the feed needs of poultry, which are now drawn from Damascus Countryside Individually and according to the role system.
A poultry farming association was established in the town of Kafr Shams, which includes the Al-Sanamayn area and the surrounding villages and towns during the previous period.
