The Jableh Criminal Security Center managed to arrest two people who were promoting counterfeit foreign currencies.
The Ministry of Interior said in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that as a result of the information received and the follow-up of dealers other than the Syrian pound and the promotion of foreign currencies, the Criminal Security Center in Jableh was able to stop a Kia Cerato car after it was followed up and monitored while it was leaving a street and seized it and arrested two people inside it, namely “Ameen.” R., born in 1985, and his partner, Majd M., born in 1985, were seized in their possession of a fake 1700 dollars that was confiscated.
The ministry stated that, upon interrogating the two persons, they confessed to promoting counterfeit currencies, noting that investigations are still ongoing and they will be duly brought to court.
