Private car in Kai Tak was suspected of being burned and two license plates were stolen in Tai Po

A suspected arson case occurred in Kai Tak, Kowloon Bay. At about 3 am, it was reported that a private car parked on Chain Kai Road near Kai Tak Sports Park suddenly caught fire. The authorities received multiple fire reports. The fire department sent personnel to the scene after receiving the reports.

A suspected arson case occurred in Kai Tak, Kowloon Bay.

At about 3 am, it was reported that a private car parked on Chainway Road near Kai Tak Sports Park suddenly caught fire. The authorities received multiple fire reports. After receiving the report, the fire department sent personnel to the scene to put out the fire. No one was injured in the incident.

The vehicle involved was a Toyota Harrier SUV. After preliminary investigation by the fire department, it was believed that the cause of the fire was suspicious, and it was handed over to the police for follow up.

By 4 am, the police investigated based on the license plate number of the burned car and learned that the vehicle to which the license plate originally belonged was parked off No. 55 Youjing Lane, Tai Po.

When the police went to Tai Po to investigate, they found that the license plate of another car at the site had also been stolen.

The police are investigating the cause of the arson and the purpose of tracing the culprits for stealing license plates.
