The RAAM party, led by MK Mansour Abbas, has made a decision in principle to support a coalition led by Benjamin Netanyahu from the outside;

This is what a senior member of the party told Israel Today.

According to the senior official, the decision to externally support a coalition led by Netanyahu does not guarantee that the PM will recommend Netanyahu's candidacy for the formation of the government. He added that the decision to support a coalition led by Netanyahu may change if the PM's demands are not met.

According to the senior official, the PM will demand that Itamar Ben Gvir not be given an operative role or any senior ministerial appointment.

The senior told Israel Today that the decision in principle to support the coalition led by him was due to several main reasons: "First and foremost, the change bloc has no serious candidate for prime minister and in this situation a government headed by Lapid, even with the support of RAAM, will be unstable and spend its days Shortly after you get up.

The Gush Netanyahu government headed by him will be more stable and will help us achieve the goals we have set for Arab society. "

He noted that "even before we split from the joint list we were scolded and criticized for going to political suicide and proved the opposite after the Arab public gave us the mandate and trust in the way we proposed. For 30 years we tried the separatist way and got nowhere. It was time to change."

MK Abbas is also being recalled by the Gush Hashinui parties, and has already met with party leaders MK Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid), MK Bnei Gantz (blue and white) and MK Merav Michaeli (Labor).

In the Netanyahu bloc, those who are meanwhile raising difficulties with some cooperation with Abbas is the chairman of Religious Zionism, Bezalel Smutrich, who in the meantime refuses to form any government while cooperating with MK Abbas.
