A car driver was recently amazed when the speedometer in front of the Graßlfing elementary school showed a total of 199 kilometers per hour.

Only 30 kilometers an hour are allowed during the day.

The driver has kept to that, as he asserts.

Olching - But a look at the recordings from his dashboard camera makes it very clear: 199 lights up in red numbers on the display.

Shortly before this, however, you can also see two white lines flashing like a pause sign, as if the device were defective.

The driver posted the picture in the Facebook group "You come from Olching if ...".

His comment: "I think I set a new highscore earlier." Another commentator could top it: He rushed through at 305 kilometers per hour - at least according to the ad.

So what's going on?

A query with the city of Olching shows that there were indeed problems with several speed displays.

However, the employees of the building yard were already on the road on Monday to check the devices and, if necessary, to reprogram them.

"Until all measuring devices are checked, it will be Tuesday afternoon for sure," as city hall spokeswoman Martina Sohn announced yesterday on Tuesday.

But then everything should go back to normal.

One explanation for the problems could be the time change.

This may have messed up the devices.

However, this was only last Sunday night.

The incident on Schulstrasse already occurred on Friday afternoon.
