2021-03-31T08:16:31.887Z

The world specialist Doppelmayr was chosen this Tuesday by Ile-de-France Mobilités to design, build and maintain the Cable A-TV

It is not mountains that he will be able to cross, but many cities of Greater Paris.

Cable A-Téléval, the first cable car in Ile-de-France, awaited by the Val-de-Marnais, finally has a designated manufacturer.

This Tuesday, Ile-de-France Mobilités appointed Doppelmayr, a cable transport specialist based in Austria and Switzerland, for the design, construction and maintenance of the cable car.

This innovative mode of transport in urban areas should make it possible to link Villeneuve-Saint-Georges to Créteil, via Limeil-Brévannes and Valenton, and all by air!

Five stations are to be created over 4.5 km and it will take only 17 minutes to cover the entire route.

“After 13 years of studies, the first cable car in Ile-de-France becomes concrete, reacts Valérie Pécresse, president (Libres!) Of the region.

20,000 Val-de-Marnais will have a new original solution for daily travel to reach the metro and cross the motorway and the rail line.

Ile-de-France Mobilités, the regulatory authority for transport in the capital region, is not unveiling for the moment new visuals of the project, waiting to modify at the margin the proposals of the new designated builder.

But one thing is certain: the first preparatory work is expected at the end of the year and the construction itself will start in 2022 for commissioning in 2023 or 2024.

We still need to acquire land to place the pylons

The department of Val-de-Marne, in charge of archaeological diagnoses on the sites of future stations, has already made good progress.

"For example, it is finished at Bois-Matar in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges", rejoices the departmental council, which has been supporting this Téléval project for more than 10 years.

"By opening up Limeil-Brévannes and the Villeneuvois plateau, Téléval opens up prospects for the inhabitants of the sector in terms of access to employment, training and the transport network", welcomes Christian Favier, President (PCF) of the departmental council.

Ile-de-France Mobilités has yet to launch some land acquisitions, in particular to install the 32 future cable car pylons.

For this innovative project, a full financing agreement, for 132 million euros financed by the State, the region and the department, has already been adopted and the timetable remains for the moment that announced before the health crisis.

Even if there are still three appeals not served on the declaration of public utility of October 2019, the project is moving forward.

This is what delighted the Vite le Téléval collective, created in 2018. "This decision marks the final aspect of the project, the Téléval will be done and we are delighted", enthuses Thomas Khabou, spokesperson.

The chosen constructor, in a consortium with Egis Rail, Spie Batignolles GC, Atelier Schall and France Travaux, won against two competitors.

Doppelmayr is a big name in his field.

We owe him in particular the longest and fastest cable car in the world in Laura in Russia or the Mi Teleférico network in La Paz in Bolivia, considered to be the largest cable car system in the world with its 10 km, 3 lines and 10 stations.

"The candidates were assessed on their overall solution, on their acoustic performance, their environmental performance and their energy efficiency", specifies Ile-de-France Mobilités.

“Doppelmayr's proposal is robust.

This competent grouping, around the largest manufacturer of cable cars in the world, guarantees the speed of construction

(Editor's note: around two years of work will be necessary) ”

, promises Laurent Probst, the managing director of IDFM.

For future users, taking the cable car should be relatively easy.

The A-Televal Cable will be accessible with a Navigo pass or with a T + ticket at 1.90 euros.

Correspondence with buses and subways will be possible and facilitated.

And only 30 seconds will elapse between the cabins, which will be as much of a chance to go fast but also to see the Val-de-Marne differently!
