Zhang Zhujun, Director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Centre for Health Protection announced today that more than 10 preliminary confirmed cases have been recorded, most of which are imported cases.
One of the two cases without a source is a 56-year-old woman. She was making a floor at the Golden Royal Seafood Restaurant on the 2nd floor of Wan Chai Jie Li Center and helping her to open tea. She felt unwell this Monday (29th). She went to work last day, usually a week. Work for 2 to 3 days.
She lives in Wuzhou Building, North Point, and is following up to see if there are other close contacts.
She tested negative on the 15th of this month, and the test result was initially positive yesterday.
Restaurant evacuated staff preparing for disinfection
A reporter from "Hong Kong 01" visited the Golden Royal Seafood Restaurant on Fenwick Street, Wan Chai in the afternoon. One of the restaurant staff was busy discussing and handling disinfection matters with the staff of the cleaning company, and evacuated all colleagues.
As soon as he saw the reporter approaching the restaurant, he said, "It's dangerous. There is a confirmed case, you should leave first!" The restaurant staff continued that the restaurant needs to be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and the reopening time is unknown.
In addition, the employees of the same restaurant were leaving the scene after receiving the notice. One of them said that he was waiting for the Health Protection Center to notify them to come to the quarantine center, which seemed a bit hesitant; another employee of the same restaurant said that he believed it was one. The staff cleaning at the front desk was diagnosed but did not know the details.
