Sawa theatrical troupe performed on the stage of the Culture Palace in Homs under the title “The Last Bet” as part of the celebration held by the Artists Syndicate branch on the occasion of World Theater Day.
The show was written and directed by “Pioneers of Ibrahim,” who emphasized to the cultural lisa that the band’s participation in this celebration is important because it constitutes an opportunity for young people to present their theater and artistic creativity.
Ibrahim explained that he tried to prepare a theatrical script from the lived reality, especially since the war left a lot of destruction and negative effects on society, as he tried to shed light on it.
The show featured three figures, the husband and wife, and a wealthy, corrupt man who would turn the lives of the spouses into ruin, dragging the husband into the world of insane and gambling, and trying to make a rift in his relationship with his wife until the husband realized late what he had committed against himself and against his partner.
Artist “Tamam Al-Awani” emphasized the importance of youth performances in this celebration, as it confirms that Homs is full of talents that will inject new blood into the artistic movement.
The attendees had an opinion on this celebration, as “Ashraf Al Hassan, Ibtihal Omran and Amjad Deeb” said that the celebration of the International Day of Theater reflects the artistic richness in Homs and the creativity of its youth that were not frustrated by the years of the unjust war, presenting a sophisticated state of civilization.
