With the second wave of coronavirus just around the corner and after announcing some restrictions on circulation, now the province of Buenos Aires has warned about the possibility of returning to
"total isolation"
in case the epidemiological situation worsens.
"There is an enormous vocation to take care of oneself. Nobody wants to reach the situation of total isolation, of course, but we understand that
if you have to do it, you have to do it
. The priority is health, that is quite installed in people," said the Buenos Aires Vice Minister of Health, Nicolás Kreplak, in dialogue with
Radio 10
.
The official warned that they could intensify measures to "flatten" the contagion curve and placed special emphasis on reducing non-essential exits.
"The situation we have now is again like the one seen when cases were increasing last June or July, where you have to think a lot about taking care of yourself and the exits have to be essential. Exits that are not essential, there are no what to do, "Kreplak remarked.
The deputy minister stressed that the second wave "could be worse" than the first, as has happened in other countries: "The number of cases we have and can have may be like last year, with the difference that out there what the Last year it was established in three or four months, here it can be established in three or four weeks, and that is very worrying because it quickly stresses the health system.
