These accusations have revived the heated controversy fueled by the demonstrations of Black Lives Matter last year.

It was precisely after the feverish outbreak triggered by the death of George Floyd in the United States that Boris Johnson's government commissioned the report on racial and ethnic disparities released on Wednesday.
The tone is meant to be positive.
According to the commission that worked on this hot topic, the United Kingdom should serve as a
"model for other countries whose population is predominantly white".
The report acknowledges that the problem persists but notes that most of the social inequalities
"which some attribute to discrimination
