Amazing magic tricks and amazing illusions: This is the world of Luka Kornelli.

The 13-year-old young magician from Reichersbeuern loves to amaze the audience with his tricks.

He got an opportunity to show his skills in the TV show "Ehrlich Brothers Magic School", which will be on TV on April 2nd.

Reichersbeuern - In the show, the well-known magician duo is looking for the best young magicians in Germany.

When Luka Kornelli came across the call to the “Magic School” last year, he decided to try his luck.

“If I can't get any further, it doesn't matter,” the 13-year-old says in an interview with the Tölzer Kurier.

However, he did not expect great chances of actually getting into the show.

In the pre-selection process, applicants should shoot short videos in which they perform their own magic pieces.

In the end, the 13-year-old was able to prevail against hundreds of other children and was allowed to take part in the “Magic School”.

Great pleasure "getting to know my idols"

The show was recorded in October last year in Bielefeld.

The 13-year-old was accompanied by his father.

Above all, the meeting with the “Ehrlich Brothers” made the days of filming a special experience.

“I was really happy to meet my idols,” says Luka Kornelli.

In the show, two young magical talents between nine and 15 years of age compete against each other per episode.

In several game rounds, the candidates prove their knowledge of the world of magic and their skills by performing their own tricks and illusions.

Luka has been on stage several times and showed his tricks

"The nice thing about the 'Magic School' is that it doesn't mean anything if you've lost," says the young magician.

Because even the loser does not go away empty-handed in the end.

For the 13-year-old, participation in the TV show is therefore more important.

Appearances in front of an audience are by no means alien to the young magician.

So he showed his skills on smaller stages and at a wedding.

But to be in the limelight together with the “Ehrlich Brothers” was something very special for Luka Kornelli.

“I had a little stage fright at the beginning,” admits the 13-year-old.

But that has subsided over time.

Only discovered the world of magic a year and a half ago

Compared to the other candidates, he started doing magic relatively late, reports the man from Reichersbeurer.

Some of the other participants already have three to five years of experience.

“I was a little surprised that I could keep up,” says the 13-year-old.

Because the young magician only discovered the world of magic a year and a half ago.

It all started with a magic box.

“I wished for one for my twelfth birthday,” says Luka Kornelli.

He had previously seen some videos of magic tricks and now wanted to do them himself.

From then on he was gripped by the passion for the world of illusion.

More magic boxes and card sets followed over time.

Immersion in the world of magic lets you forget problems

Visiting a magic show by the Ehrlich Brothers did the rest.

“You sit there and just think: I want to be able to do something like that too,” describes the young magician.

Seeing his role models on the big stage was a great motivation to continue practicing and to improve his magic.

According to Luka Kornelli, the great thing about his hobby is being able to astonish and deceive people with the tricks.

“The audience should ask themselves how it works, that you bend a fork or put a previously twisted Rubik's cube in a bag and then it is solved when you take it out again,” explains the 13-year-old.

Also, by being immersed in sorcery, people might forget about their problems for a moment.

Luka particularly likes to show card tricks

For his magic tricks, he prefers to use everyday objects that he borrows directly from the audience.

Since these are completely normal objects, the viewer would be even more astonished.

But the young magician also likes to use card tricks.

Especially since a large number of "different effects" are possible with one set.

“Magic is one of the most beautiful hobbies one can have,” says the young talented magician.

His extraordinary passion is mainly supported by his father.

“He's the first I show my tricks to,” says Luka Kornelli.

He also receives tips from his father on how to improve his magic tricks.

He emphasizes: "Without my father, the whole thing would not have been possible."

The episode of the "Ehrlich Brothers Magic School" with Luka Kornelli can be seen on TV on April 2nd at 7.30 pm on Super RTL.
