The American YouTube site announced the unblocking of the Arabic-language "Russia Today" channel, which was blocked earlier in the day.
Russia Today Channel reported that YouTube users can once again access the channel's account, which has 2.8 billion views and more than 5.5 million subscribers.
YouTube had blocked the "RT" channel this morning after the channel received 4 violations from the same user registered in the United States of America under the trademark "Business Casual". The channel received these warnings in a short time from the same user in the period from January 11th. Until the 25th of this March, which in itself is unprecedented, especially as the issue concerns a news channel of this size and reach.
The blocking of the channel from YouTube was severely criticized by the Russian Foreign Ministry, as its spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, announced that this move was a violation of freedom of expression at the hands of American digital companies.
