With the participation of 64 national companies, the activities of the “Welcome Ramadan” shopping festival were launched today, which is being held by the Homs Chamber of Commerce on the grounds of the exhibition city in the Al-Waer district of the city over a period of ten days, in cooperation with a number of national economic activities.

The shopping festival offers a rich bouquet of consumer goods that meet the family’s needs in terms of various foodstuffs, detergents, some clothes, furnishings, toiletries, office supplies, etc., with discounts on all products of up to 30 percent in addition to offers and gifts.

Iyad Darraq Al-Sebaei, head of the Homs Chamber of Commerce, said in a statement to SANA that the chamber always seeks to support citizens and merchants together by providing the opportunity for marketing and promotion at reasonable and encouraging prices through various exhibitions and festivals and attracting various social strata and economic activities in Homs and the governorates in support of the national product, noting the importance of the festival. Today, to meet the needs of the family of various consumer goods with the approaching holy month of Ramadan, which is the first economic activities of the room on the occasion of the holy month.

A number of festival participants expressed the importance of launching the festival in the midst of events and holidays, especially with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, where Muhammad Kafa says that he participates in food products and packaging legumes and grains of all kinds, indicating that they offer discounts of up to 15 percent compared to the local market.

In a pavilion for the production of detergents, paper tissues, hot and cold drinks, Kinan Abbas invited the participant with products to 6 companies distributed in Syria that they offer discounts at the festival of up to one-third compared to the price of distribution in the local market and from the producer to the consumer.

Wissam Al-Hariri, who participates in honey products and its derivatives of various kinds, indicated that their products reach some Arab countries, where a kilo of honey is currently sold in the local market for 30 thousand pounds depending on its quality and we have 24 thousand Syrian pounds, while Saeed Risha participates in building materials, wood and aluminum, the need to rehabilitate the damaged buildings for the people. Returnees to it, at incentive prices for the rehabilitation of doors, windows and kitchens.

Abd al-Rahman al-Shami, for the trade of all women's toiletries, indicated that despite the high prices, the demand for products is good and the discounts at the exhibition reach 60 percent, while Rana Najjar, the agent of a food company in Damascus countryside, pointed out that it is its first participation in Homs for its food products, consoles and prices from the producer to the consumer.

Visitors of the festival from various social strata expressed their satisfaction at the encouraging prices they received, even with small discounts compared to the local market, which creates an incentive to shop and buy products.

It is noteworthy that the exhibition city in Al-Waer neighborhood in Homs witnessed last month the first exhibitions of the Businesswomen’s Committee in the Homs Chamber of Commerce which it holds annually with the aim of supporting productive women.
