Another mass shooting in the U.S.: 4 dead, including a child, in an office building in California
A man opened fire on a building in the Los Angeles area of Orange, and was arrested after he was shot and wounded by police.
The motive for the shooting incident, the third in less than a month, is still unknown

Four people, including a child, were shot dead last night (Thursday) in an office building in Orange, California, local police said.
The suspect, who was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with the police, was arrested and his motive is still unclear.
The Orange massacre, which is about 50 miles southeast of Los Angeles, is the third mass shooting in the United States in less than a month.
Jennifer Emmett, a senior Orange police officer, told reporters that officers arrived at the scene around 5:30 p.m. She said three adults and a child were found lifeless, and another person besides the suspect was shot and taken to a hospital. Police posted on her Facebook page that there was no further threat to the public. The
shooting took place in a two-story building. Going out into an inner courtyard surrounded by several businesses. The area is home to residences, apartments and other businesses. California Gov. Gwyn Newsam said it was a "shocking and heartbreaking" incident.

About two weeks ago, eight people, including six women of Asian descent, were killed in a killing spree at a spa in the Atlanta area, and about a week later, ten people were killed by gunfire from a man at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado.
The shooters in both cases have been arrested and are on trial.
President Joe Biden has promised to step up controls on arms sales, including a ban on assault rifle sales and a call for Congress to pass legislation that would prevent holes in background checks on firearms buyers.
Republicans vehemently oppose any restriction on arms sales, the maintenance of which is protected by the Second Amendment to the Constitution.
