Four people, including a child, were killed Wednesday evening March 31 by a man who opened fire in an office building in the city of Orange, south of Los Angeles, police said.
The shooter, whose motives remain unknown at this stage, was himself shot and wounded during the intervention of the police and taken to hospital.
A fifth victim, injured, was also hospitalized.
The police did not communicate any details about the victims of the tragedy.
The shooting was reported around 5:30 p.m. local time on the top floor of a small office building.

This shooting comes after two recent killings that have brought mourning to the United States and reignited the debate on the proliferation of firearms in the country.
