This year's HKDSE will be held from April 23 to May 22. During this period, candidates may be undergoing a 14-day compulsory quarantine or have to stay in their premises to wait for the test results.
The Education Bureau stated today (April 1) that starting from April 9th, if candidates are required to be quarantined, they can indicate that they want to continue taking the exam. The authorities will arrange to be quarantined at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center and take the diploma exam in a separate room.
Invigilators will be arranged outside the room.
As for the candidates who are affected by the closed area test, they can first go to the temporary sampling station for testing.
If the restricted space is far away from the examination venue, you may request to be transferred to a nearby examination venue to take the exam.

The Education Bureau stated that in order to assist candidates who may be affected by the relevant compulsory quarantine or mandatory testing arrangements to take the HKDSE as scheduled, the Education Bureau coordinated with various government departments and the Examination and Assessment Bureau to set up special arrangements for candidates to cope with occasional needs.
Can show that they are willing to take the exam at the quarantine center
From April 9th, if candidates are notified that they are required to undergo compulsory quarantine, they can indicate that they are candidates for the HKDSE and submit supporting documents, including admission tickets, and indicate their willingness to take the exam at the quarantine center.
Candidates will be arranged for compulsory quarantine at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center, and during the quarantine period, they will be arranged for the diploma examination in the quarantine center.
Candidates must inform the Examination and Evaluation Bureau of their willingness to take the test in the quarantine center so that the Examination and Evaluation Bureau can make corresponding arrangements.
If candidates are unwilling to take the exam in the quarantine center, they can apply to the Appraisal Bureau for "score evaluation" according to the established mechanism, and may be assigned to other quarantine centers that do not have exam arrangements for compulsory quarantine.
Invigilators must wear personal protective equipment
According to the recommendations of the Center for Health Protection, candidates will be arranged to take the exam in a clean and independent room, and invigilators will be arranged outside the room to reduce contact with the candidates.
Invigilators will be arranged to receive epidemic prevention training, including proper wearing and removal of personal protective equipment.
The Appraisal Bureau will announce the recruitment of invigilators and related details later.
The Education Bureau urges schools to actively send invigilators to receive epidemic prevention training to assist candidates in need. Retired teachers are also welcome to apply for invigilators.

In addition, starting from April 22, if candidates are required to stay in their premises and undergo compulsory testing due to the government's declaration of a zone closure, the Education Bureau recommends that the candidates go to the temporary sampling station as soon as possible and submit relevant documents to prove that they must take the diploma exam the next day. So that quarantine personnel will give priority to testing.
Candidates can be transferred to the nearest examination venue due to the closed area
Candidates must notify the HKEAA that they have accepted compulsory testing. If their premises are far away from the examination room, they can also request to be transferred to a nearby examination room to take the exam.
If the candidate must leave the restricted area before the cancellation is announced, he or she can request the prescribed person to leave regardless of whether the test result has been obtained.
If candidates receive a negative test result during their visit to the examination room, they can take the exam as scheduled.
To ensure the safety of all candidates, the HKEAA will only allow candidates who have obtained a negative test result in the nucleic acid test to enter the examination room.
