It is expected to last until the Ching Ming Festival next Sunday. The highest temperature in the city will reach 31 degrees Celsius. Shek Kong, Sheung Shui and Ta Kwu Ling may rise to 34 degrees, which is expected to challenge Hong Kong’s hottest Ching Ming Festival on record.
However, early next week, a fresh to strong easterly airstream hits. The Observatory expects that next Monday (5th) the day following the Ching Ming Festival, there will be one or two light rains and low visibility at first, and the offshore wind will reach level 6. The wind was quite strong, with a low of 23 degrees in the urban area, 8 degrees lower than the previous day.

The highest temperature in the urban area on that day is expected to reach 31 degrees, or the hottest Ching Ming Festival in Hong Kong on record. The Observatory also predicts that a fresh to strong easterly airflow will affect the coast of Guangdong early next week.
The day after the Ching Ming Festival, there will be a "rainstorm" scene. There will be one or two light rains and visibility will be low at first. The temperature in the urban area will drop to between 23 and 26 degrees, and the sky will be bright during part of the afternoon.

A cloud belt will bring rainy weather to southern China in the middle and late next week. The Observatory expects that next Thursday (8th) will be cloudy with a few showers.
