Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates held a farewell party for the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, Jawad Turkabadi, on the occasion of the end of his duties as his country's ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic, at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus.

During the ceremony, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, awarded Ambassador Turkabadi the Order of Syrian Merit of the first class, in honor of his friendly country, Iran, and in appreciation of his generous person and his kind efforts to enhance relations between the two brotherly countries.

After receiving the medal, Ambassador Jawad Turkabadi expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to President Bashar Al-Assad for granting him this medal and for the Syrian government and people and the Foreign Ministry staff for their cooperation with him to complete his duties as ambassador to his country, reviewing the most important historical milestones that strengthened relations between the two countries and established the present and future.

Ambassador Turkabadi affirmed that Syria is living today in the separation of victory, expressing his hope that this victory will be completed, whose progress will change the map of the next world.

In his speech, al-Jaafari emphasized the depth of the Syrian-Iranian relations and their roots in history, which were strengthened after the Islamic revolution in Iran, where the two great deceased, the immortal leader Hafez al-Assad and His Eminence, Ayatollah Imam Khomeini, established those relations that grew and flourished over time and in the darkest circumstances and the most difficult challenges. This distinguished approach to relations strengthened Duality, President Bashar Al-Assad and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, His Eminence, Ayatollah Imam Ali Khamenei.

Al-Jaafari pointed out that Iran stands with all its energy with the Syrian state and its dear and precious presentation to strengthen the steadfastness of the Syrian people, expressing his hope that Iran, its people and its leadership will enjoy prosperity and progress.

Al-Jaafari praised the efforts of Ambassador Turkabadi and his role in strengthening the strong and strategic bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, his activity and mastery of the Arabic language and his high morals that contributed to entering the minds and hearts of the Syrians.

The ceremony was attended by a number of ambassadors accredited in Damascus and directors of departments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
