In preparation for Holocaust Martyrs 'and Heroes' Remembrance Day, the Hartman Institute is proposing to hold a Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony with the West Bank in person.

The "Haggadah for Holocaust Remembrance Day" is offered to the public, who wish to hold a ceremony in the family, community or workplace.

This year, a "do-it-yourself" Haggadah editing site will also be launched, so that everyone can include reading passages, links to content from time to time, and personal and family materials of their choice.

Due to the corona, Holocaust Martyrs 'and Heroes' Remembrance Day ceremonies are expected to take place this year in a limited format, and many are looking for a significant way to mark this important day.

The "Holocaust Remembrance Day" Ceremony offered by the Hartman Institute is based on the West Bank compiled to hold a significant memorial event.

The Haggadah includes readings, testimonies, singing, prayer, sharing and even silence, and through it a ceremony can be held with family, friends, community or students.

As mentioned, this year the Hartman Institute added an innovation with an online self-assembly Haggadah, in which each facilitator can assemble additional sections of his choice along with the core sections of the Haggadah, including suggested reading sections, links to Yad Vashem content or personal and family materials.

The Hartman Institute will also hold a major "gathering" ceremony on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, April 7, at 9:00 PM in collaboration with the "Israeli Prayer House" community and the Zion community.

The ceremony will be attended by bards, musicians and survivors who will share their personal stories.

The "Haggadah for Holocaust Remembrance Day" was designed by a diverse group of researchers, writers and leaders of Holocaust organizations.

Since 2015, "gathering" ceremonies have been held in hundreds of formal and informal centers throughout the country: in homes, community centers, localities, communities, schools, youth movements, student associations and workplaces.

Prof. Michal Govrin of the Hartman Institute, leader of the Haggadah for Holocaust Remembrance Day and the Convergence Ceremony: "As the Holocaust recedes and the voices of survivors dwindle, the memory of the Holocaust continues to shake our lives. "Remember the past, and remember responsibly now and for the future. The gathering brings voices from the various communities of Israel from the East and the West, from Europe and the Arab countries, and is a response to a deep need in Israeli society."
