My parents often buy so much fruit that a lot of it goes to waste.
How can I change their behavior?

The way my parents shop puts me under pressure: too much of everything, always.
When I visit her, open the refrigerator and the food swells towards me, I tense up.
Huge wheels of cheese, not bad, but not organic either.
Meat and sausage from the supermarket, although they could afford to buy from the organic butcher.
So much fruit and bread that a lot of it has to be rotten and thrown away.
With increasing age (and thanks to Corona) the buying frenzy gets worse and worse.
