He had previously committed several accidents and then simply ran off.
At around 2 p.m., the man at Plärrer had rammed a fire hydrant and a tree with his white BMW.
Instead of stopping after the accident and waiting for the police, he just drove on.
A witness observed the incident and called the law enforcement officers.

A little later, a traffic police patrol was able to stop the driver at the intersection with Roonstrasse in Nuremberg *.
According to the police, the 35-year-old man was under the influence of alcohol with almost two per thousand.
Besides, he must have used drugs as well.
As a result, the police confiscated the suspect's car.
Investigative proceedings are now being initiated against the BMW driver for fleeing the accident and endangering road traffic.
