Finally good news from the regional job market.
The situation there has improved slightly, as the March figures show.

- The situation on the regional labor market improved slightly at the beginning of spring: The number of unemployed in the districts of Freising, Erding, Dachau and Ebersberg fell to 10 699 people in March.
The agency thus counted 807 fewer unemployed than in the previous month.
The rate fell from February to March by 0.2 to 2.9 percent.
In March 2020 it was 2.0 percent.
“The effects of the corona pandemic cannot be overlooked.
Nevertheless, we are noticing a slight upturn in the regional labor market, ”says Nikolaus Windisch, head of the Freising Employment Agency.
The number of layoffs decreased again: In the agency district, 1,229 people registered as unemployed.
That was 180 less than in February.
At the same time, 1,488 women and men were able to end their unemployment, 411 more than in the previous month.
“We owe these positive developments to the beginning of spring.
The rising temperatures ensure that work can be resumed in external jobs in the weather-dependent industries, ”explains Windisch.
In March, the employers also informed the employment agencies in the four districts about 1,101 new positions to be filled.
That was 203 more than in February.
Short-time work is still an elementary support for the labor market
Short-time working is still an elementary pillar of the labor market during the crisis: In the past twelve months - from March 2020 to March 2021 - around 8050 regional companies switched to short-time allowance for around 109,400 employees at the advertising agency.
In March 2020, the first month of the pandemic, there was actually short-time working in 1918 companies in the four counties.
16,310 men and women were affected.
The number of short-time workers reached its previous high in April 2020 with 4063 companies in which short-time work actually took place.
47,344 employees were affected.
The latest figures are from November 2020: At this point in time, 27,625 employees in 2,250 companies were affected.
Since the beginning of the career counseling year 2020/2021 on October 1, 2020, the Freising Employment Agency has reported a total of 2,452 apprenticeship positions by the companies in the four districts.
“That is nine offers more than in the same period of the previous career counseling year.
In view of the pandemic, these are very positive results: Many employers in the region are currently sticking to their training plans, ”says Nikolaus Windisch.
Freising employers report significantly more new jobs than in the previous month
March brought a slight decline in the number of unemployed in the Freising district: a total of 3394 people were registered as unemployed, 264 fewer women and men than in February 2021. This development also had an impact on the unemployment rate, which rose 0.3 percentage points to a value of has decreased by three percent.
In March 2020, the rate was calculated at 2.1 percent.
The employers recently reported 422 new jobs to be filled in the district, 128 more than in the previous month.
In March there were a total of 1205 job offers in the job pool of the employment agency.
At the beginning of the pandemic, 564 companies in the district had short-time working.
5410 people were affected.
The number of short-time workers reached its highest level so far in May 2020 with 1079 companies in which 17 866 employees worked short-time.
The latest figures on short-time work for the district are from October 2020: In the month of autumn, 11,531 employees in 561 companies actually worked short-time.
Since the beginning of the career counseling year on October 1, 2020, the companies reported 817 training positions to be filled in the district (minus 113 positions compared to the same period in the previous year).
503 training positions were still vacant in March 2021.
