Vienna - TV Austria and the ORF mourn a true legend: Peter Fichna is dead. The news anchor and presenter died at the age of 90.

The sad news is only known after a delay.

The ORF announced in a press release on Tuesday (March 30th) that Fichna had already died on Friday, March 19th.

Born in Zwettler, whose trademark was not only his concise voice according to the ORF, presented “Zeit im Bild” from 1963 to 1975.
