We are considering shortening the quarantine for people who have already received injections and who arrive in Hong Kong from other non-high-risk areas

In view of the fact that many areas have begun vaccination arrangements, the government is also considering adjusting the compulsory quarantine requirements for people arriving in Hong Kong who have stayed in other non-high-risk areas.

If the person concerned has completed the vaccination, the 21-day compulsory quarantine requirement can be shortened, but a certain period of self-monitoring and additional compulsory testing are still required.

The government said that moderate adjustments to entry restrictions and quarantine arrangements will help gradually restore Hong Kong's contacts with the rest of the world.

The government will continue to closely monitor the situation, including the development of the global and local epidemics, the progress of vaccination and the changes in the number of people entering and leaving the country, and adjust the boarding and compulsory quarantine requirements for people arriving in Hong Kong from different risk areas when necessary.
