Minister Qatana referred to the measures taken by the government to secure agricultural supplies in light of the current circumstances and the unfair economic blockade that the country is facing, explaining that there are promises from the concerned parties in the fertilizer plant to provide farmers with their allocations of nitrogen fertilizer necessary for summer crops and fruit trees according to the new prices starting from the beginning This month of April.

Minister Qatana pointed out that the tour included a number of forest sites that were devoured by fires during the last summer season, with a look at the natural renewal of the vegetation cover, which was found to be at a good level, as well as the measures taken to protect the burned sites from encroachments and the application of scientific standards in the intervention of reforestation and the construction of roads and fire lines In anticipation of future fires.

The minister's tour also included the Mahrada Dam, which suffers from the intensive spread of the Nile flower and the damages it causes to water pumps and the environmental environment and its consumption of large quantities of water, as he explained that there is an integrated plan to combat this plant by mechanical collection and the use of early stages to remove irrigation channels and apply biological control by spreading vital enemies The plant in its various places of spread, which is expected to eliminate 70 percent of it, and the remainder will be eradicated by relying on the people living near the canals and physical surfaces to get rid of the plant on the one hand and provide them with job opportunities on the other hand.

During their meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, the farmers demanded the removal of the irrigation canal Tar Al-Ula, the handing over of land to farmers in the liberated areas, the securing of production requirements of fertilizer and fuel, especially the diesel for agricultural machinery and gasoline for unlicensed motorcycles, the increase of feed regulations and veterinary vaccines for livestock, the study of the construction of shallow accumulated dams and the rehabilitation of agricultural roads. And the construction of bridges over large irrigation canals to facilitate the access of farmers to their lands.

The Qatana tour also included lands and agricultural fields in the towns and villages of Suqaylabiyah, Shayar, Ain al-Krum and Haraj al-Freekeh.
