NASA's InSight probe was able to detect several earthquakes of considerable force on the surface of Mars, in an area called Cerberus Fossae.

The last earthquakes detected had a magnitude of 3.3 and 3.1 degrees.

Studying these movements helps scientists develop a better understanding of the red planet's mantle and core.
