A variety of poetic, anecdotal and intellectual encounters, in which a celebration of the cultural week organized by the Veterans League in Homs, within the framework of the Culture and Media Forum.
A group of poets participated in the activities who presented poems celebrating the mother, the homeland and the martyr, and emotional ones expressing emotions overflowing with feelings of sadness, joy and reproach.
The names of the participants included poets Madeleine Esber, Hind Staihi, Hayam Awad, Salwa Al-Ghanim, Maryam Mustafa, Doha Obeid, poets Ali Al-Hajjal, Hassan Ahmed, Sami Al-Asaad, Muhammad Arwani and Badr Al-Din Qarajeh who have read poems bearing various titles such as “Shamoukh Watan, I screamed reproach, to a poet.”

The story also had a presence in the meetings, so the storytellers Khadija Badur, Siham Qassem and Fatima Asaad shared stories that express the woman and her pent-up dreams on the one hand, and the space for hope that they aspire to on the one hand, and the titles of their stories came in line with these tender feelings such as Valentine's Day, a pent-up dream, alienation, waiting, betrayal .
The cultural days were also marked by a bunch of intellectual and social lectures that bore the titles of stereotyped industrial education and its social impact by economic researcher Jaber Salameh and the power of positive thinking by Wadih Roumieh, a human development expert.
The cultural week witnessed a remarkable presence of those interested in cultural affairs in Homs.
