A wounding case occurred in Tung Chung.
At about 10 pm on Friday (April 2), a man was reportedly armed with two kitchen knives and attacked another man in the open space outside Yat Tung Shopping Centre.
The attacked man had a knife in his hand; the suspect was arrested on the spot and two people were sent to North Lantau Hospital for treatment; a male neighbour who was present at the scene was also injured while helping to subdue the suspect, but refused to be sent to hospital.
It is understood that the incident was suspected of involving a drinking dispute. After the dispute, the suspect returned to his residence to take a knife and return to the scene to "look for bad luck." He was later arrested on suspicion of "injury".
The police said that the arrested man was named Peng (41 years old). At the time of the incident, he attacked a man surnamed Zhu (54 years old) with a knife. The reason is unknown. The Lantau Police District Criminal Investigation Team has taken over and followed up.

The attacked man evaded and resisted in a hurry. During the period, there was a popping sound. Someone yelled: "What a mess!" The two sides fell to the ground and twisted into a ball. The other man saw the suspect and kept punching the suspect. Several men also assisted on the head. Some of them said, "Lock the neck!" After a few suspects were outnumbered, they were subdued by a concerted effort. Passers-by immediately kicked him away with a sharp knife.
