Bräustüberl landlord Peter Hubert is a master at procuring sought-after goods for the masses.

These days he has sent 250,000 antigen tests from China.

That causes a stir.

Tegernsee

- Hubert sells some of the 250,000 corona tests in the Tegernseer Bräustüberl shop, the majority of the corona tests go to companies in the region who desperately want to order tests in order to be able to test their employees.

“If the politicians don't make it, then we'll just take it into our own hands,” the landlord writes on Facebook.

Until he is allowed to reopen, he is selling antigen tests.

Unit price in his shop: 7.95 euros.

Hubert posted his coup on Facebook - and thus triggered a huge discussion.

The Post lets the waves beat high.

Some cheer about the “cool action” and the initiative of the businessman who shows it to everyone, others announce indignantly that they will never set foot in the Bräustüberl again.

You accuse the landlord of money making: At Aldi, a test costs only five euros.

Above all, however, the escalating discussion - there are well over 100 comments - is about the usefulness of testing in general and the corona policy as a whole.

"Test more so that there are more 'infected' people and they lock the shops for you even longer," says one user.

Another believes the pandemic should be “artificially maintained”.

Hubert is surprised by the emotional impact of the debate.

“I haven't made the specifications,” says the entrepreneur, who doesn't want to take a position on this issue either.

Hubert makes it clear that he did not want to initiate a discussion on the question of whether the Corona policy is good or bad.

Nothing will be heard from him about this.

But there is no doubt that the tests are currently needed.

And unlike others, he managed to get large quantities of them on the fly.

Hubert will not stay seated on his goods from the Far East.

Most of the delivery was already pre-ordered.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our new, regular Tegernsee newsletter.
