[Easter, Ching Ming Festival weather] Entering the long Easter holiday, we will welcome the hot weather.

The Observatory predicts that during the weekend it will remain sunny, with a high of 31 degrees Celsius in the urban area and 34 degrees in some parts of the New Territories.

Affected by a fresh to strong easterly airstream, the day following the Ching Ming Festival (5th) changed from sunny to cloudy, with one or two light rain at first and low visibility. The city has a low visibility of 23 degrees.

A cloud belt will bring rainy weather in the middle and late next week. The Observatory expects thunderstorms in some areas at the beginning of next Thursday (8th), cloudy with a few showers, and rainy days will continue until next weekend.

The high-altitude anticyclone is bringing generally fine weather to the northern part of the South China Sea. The weather in Hong Kong is generally fine today and the daytime weather is hot. The highest temperature in the urban area reached 30 degrees, and the temperature rose to 32.4 degrees at noon.

The Observatory predicts that it is generally sunny and hot on weekends, with low visibility in some areas in the morning.

Next Sunday (4th) is the Ching Ming Festival. The Observatory expects the highest temperature in the urban area to reach 31 degrees on that day, which is set to challenge the hottest Ching Ming Festival in Hong Kong on record.

According to the automatic regional weather forecast, Shek Kong, Sheung Shui and Ta Kwu Ling have a chance to heat up to 34 degrees on Sunday afternoon.

The temperature will fall back to 21 to 24 degrees in the middle and late next week

An easterly airstream with fresh to strong winds will continue to affect the coast of Guangdong next week, where temperatures are generally lower.

The Observatory expects there will be one or two light rains and low visibility at the beginning of next Monday. The offshore winds will reach level 6 and the wind will be quite strong. The sky will be clear for part of the afternoon and the urban temperature will range from 23 to 26 degrees.

It is expected to be sunny on the last day of the Easter holiday.

Then a cloud belt will bring rainy weather to southern China in the middle and late next week. The Observatory expects it will be cloudy with a few showers next Thursday. Initially there will be thunderstorms in some areas, and the city will see a low of 21 degrees, and it will still be cloudy next weekend.
