Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the chairman of the right, MK Naftali Bennett, met today (Friday) at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem, as part of the talks to form a coalition and ahead of the round of recommendations at the President's House on Monday.

Tomorrow, Saturday evening, Bennett is also expected to meet the chairman of Yesh Atid, MK Yair Lapid.

"We have one goal as soon as possible to establish a good, stable government that takes care of the citizens of the State of Israel," Bennett said before the meeting. "We will spare no effort to reach this result."

Sources close to Bennett said yesterday that Bennett would not recommend Lapid as a candidate to form the government to Rivlin.

According to the sources, it has not yet been decided who will recommend it.

However, it is highly likely that Bennett will not recommend Netanyahu either - but himself - but his final position has not yet been formulated.

Netanyahu's meeting with Bennett is taking place against the background of growing fears in the Prime Minister's' Office of the possibility that the president will impose the government train on Bennett.

Despite disagreements in the bloc opposing Netanyahu over the president's round of recommendations, the Likud is worried that Bennett may reach an agreement with Lapid and new Tikva chairman Gideon Saar, who will place him first in the rotation and in the prime minister's position. right, and give generous offers integration Likud and senior portfolios in the government, in an effort to prevent the union of their second region.

Netanyahu appealed yesterday to Bennett and assault, and urged them to wear him prime minister. "Let's put the precipitation statement behind us, we will establish a government of the right posture," Netanyahu said in a statement the first communication since Election night and in the background the efforts to form a government.

In recent days, there have been calls for Lapid, Saar's main figure, to give up the attempt to gather recommendations for the president to form a government and unite behind Bennett as the prime ministerial candidate.

This is to avoid forming a government that will be supported by the joint list.

In response, Lapid said he would be willing to make concessions, but he is the one who should accept the bloc's recommendation.

This is the main dispute between the leaders of the bloc's opposition parties to Netanyahu, and this, as stated, concerns the question of the recommendations in the President's House.

During the election campaign, Lapid announced that he would be willing to relinquish his position as prime minister in favor of replacing Netanyahu, but as soon as the election results became known, he began working to form a majority of his recommendations for prime minister.

In a new hope, it is believed that only by joining the right is there a chance to replace the government.

Therefore, they oppose the moves of Lapid and the chairman of Yisrael Beiteinu, Avigdor Lieberman, who establish Lapid as the leading candidate for the mandate, and work to formulate agreements around the chairman of the right.
