No license, under drugs and with the wrong license plate number

The 19-year-old's approximately 350-kilometer journey ended after just a few hundred meters with an accident in Arzbach.

The young man's trip from the Karlsruhe area began on Thursday.

The 19-year-old had bought a white Peugeot from a woman from Wackersberg.

The car was deregistered.

This did not prevent the new owner from making plans for the journey home.

According to the police, he put a discarded old license plate without a registration or TÜV stamp on the car and, after spending the night in the Peugeot, set off at 7 a.m. on Good Friday morning.

It should be added that the citizen of Baden-Württemberg does not have a driver's license.

And he started his journey under the influence of narcotics, as the police write.

Peugeot crashed backwards into the garage

That's why it was over shortly after the start.

The Peugeot crashed into a guardrail on Kalkofenstrasse in Arzbach and then hit the garage of a 56-year-old woman from Wackersberg.

Of course, the noise was also heard by some residents who watched the driver jump out of the accident car and run away.

Witnesses followed the fugitive driver

Two witnesses, a 64-year-old local resident and his 35-year-old son, followed the fugitive.

He was finally arrested by officers from the alerted police.

Half a dozen advertisements await him, the inspection concludes laconically in its press report.

She expressly thanks the two witnesses who contributed significantly to the apprehension of the perpetrator and who were thus able to secure the injured parties their claim for damages.

Oh yes: The Peugeot was also damaged by 1500 euros.
