"We will not allow it to stand up":

Chairman of Religious Zionism Bezalel Smutrich responded today (Friday) to Mansour Abbas' speech, clarifying: "We will not be partners in any government that relies on supporters of terrorism." .

This follows a publication in "Israel Today" about his expected response.

"Abbas was and remains a supporter of terrorism who makes a pilgrimage to embrace terrorists who murdered Jews, does not accept the right of Jews to exist as a people in his country in a Jewish state, and continues to adhere to the Palestinian narrative, which simply contradicts the Jewish one," Smutrich writes.

"This is how he and his party have been doing for years and I do not buy the new image he is trying to build for himself in one moment only because of a momentary political interest due to the difficult rivalry between him and the joint list," he added.

"Even in his sweet speech yesterday, Abbas does not recognize Israel as a Jewish state, demands recognition of the 'two narratives,' and in fact tries to use the well-known Arab step-by-step system to turn Israel into a bi-national state."

"Abbas' desire to join Netanyahu now is temporary and stems from his tough rivalry with the joint list," he explained.

"In the future, the Arabs, who will become legitimate partners under the auspices of the right, will probably join the left ... A union of the Arabs with the Jewish left will lead to left-wing rule for decades. ".

"A government based on Abbas may maintain Netanyahu's rule, but there will really be no right-wing government," he said.

Meanwhile, officials in the Religious Zionist Party who spoke with "Israel Today" yesterday described the situation as "a complete disintegration of Netanyahu and public opinion, while training moves that until recently were unthinkable, and all just to preserve his rule."
