A stab wound occurred in Tung Chung.
At 10 o'clock in the evening on Friday (April 2), a man suddenly armed two kitchen knives in the open space outside the Yat Tung Shopping Centre and attacked another man.
The attacked man was hit with a knife in his hand; the suspect was arrested on the spot. He also sustained head injuries. Both were sent to North Lantau Hospital for treatment.
Sources at the scene said that a male neighbour present was also injured when assisting in subduing the suspect, but refused to be sent to hospital.
It is understood that the suspect and the victim did not know each other, but they had a dispute when they were drinking in the open space at the address earlier. After the dispute, the suspect returned to his residence and took a knife to return to the scene to "find bad luck." He was later suspected of " Wounding" was arrested.
The police said that the arrested man was named Peng (41 years old). At the time of the incident, he attacked a man surnamed Zhu (54 years old) with a knife, but the reason is unknown. The Lantau Police District Criminal Investigation Team has taken over and followed up.
