USA: A car broke into a checkpoint in the Capitol compound, two policemen were injured
According to reports, a car tried to break through a checkpoint in the area of the compound in the United States capital.
According to Capitol police, two police officers were injured from the vehicle.
The driver was also injured and arrested.
A curfew has been declared in the compound.

A private car driver broke into a checkpoint near the Capitol compound in Washington this evening (Friday).
Two policemen were injured in the incident and were evacuated for medical treatment.
The driver was also injured and was taken to hospital in critical condition.
A curfew has been declared in the compound and the Capitol Police do not allow entry and exit from the place.
The circumstances of the incident have not yet been clarified.

The incident took place at a checkpoint, which was set up about three months after former President Donald Trump's supporters broke into the compound.
According to reports, the police instead shot at the offending vehicle.
Capitol officials also reported that after the checkpoint was breached, the driver threatened the police with a knife.
