The Secretary of State underlined this government's conviction that Israelis and Palestinians should enjoy an equal degree of freedom, security, prosperity and democracy,
" reported his spokesman Ned Price after a telephone conversation between Antony Blinken and Gabi Ashkenazi.
The two men mentioned in particular "
humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians
", while the government of Joe Biden has resumed bilateral aid stopped by former US President Donald Trump.

The Secretary of State reiterated the resolute support of the United States to Israel and its security,
" added the American spokesman.
After four years of extremely favorable American policy for the Hebrew state under the Trump presidency, with the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel which had caused a breakdown in dialogue between Washington and the Palestinians, the Biden administration is partly resuming a diplomacy more in line with international consensus.
