Zeng Guowei said that the implementation of a sound electoral system will plug loopholes and defects in the electoral system, and build a democratic system with Hong Kong characteristics that meets the actual conditions of Hong Kong and meets the practical requirements of "One Country, Two Systems", so as to ensure that "patriots govern Hong Kong." This has enabled the stability and long-term development of "One Country, Two Systems" and the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong.
Participants are concerned about the composition of voter groups in the "Mainland Hong Kong People's Group Representatives" subsector added by the Election Committee under the new election system.
Zeng Guowei explained that the work is currently being worked out closely, and then the composition of relevant groups will be drafted in accordance with the three principles of group representativeness, relevance and compliance with "patriots ruling Hong Kong," and then submitted to the Legislative Council for approval.
Zeng Guowei said that although Hong Kong people in the Mainland are developing in the Mainland, they still have a heart for Hong Kong and hope to contribute to the country and Hong Kong.
