A pet turtle fell to his death!

At 12:41 noon today (3rd), a pet turtle fell off the building outside Block 9 of Regent Gardens, Kowloon Bay. During this period, a male security guard passing by witnessed the incident. Police officers responded to the report and arrived at the scene to investigate. It was reported that the pet turtle fell from a height. Due to the huge impact, the turtle's shell was cut off and the turtle died on the spot.

The injured man was consciously sent to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment. The tortoise was certified dead at the scene.

After preliminary investigation by the police, the 56-year-old owner of Xu Wugui, who lives in Hing Fook House, was arrested on suspicion of "cruel treatment of animals." The case was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Team of the Kwai Tsing Police District for follow-up.

The body of the tortoise was taken away by relevant agencies.
