, around 5.8 million euros have so far been paid out to 308 affected businesses as part of Bridging Aid II.

The majority of the money went to the hospitality industry with around 1.6 million euros in funding.

It is followed by the branch of industry “other economic services”.

This includes travel agencies, event and trade fair organizers.

Around 1.2 million euros were paid out to applicants in this area.

The application deadline for Bridging Aid II ended on March 31.

With the November aid, the state reimburses the companies that had to close during the partial lockdown in November, up to 75 percent of the lost sales.

Above all, hotels, restaurants, fitness studios, leisure facilities, the travel industry and tour operators were affected by the restrictions.

This can also be seen in the figures of the IHK: In total, the IHK has already approved 615 applications for November aid from companies and self-employed people in the Freising district with a total funding amount of more than 9.6 million euros.

Almost six million euros of this went to the hospitality industry in the district, followed by more than 1.5 million euros for businesses in the “arts, entertainment and recreation” sectors.

Applications for November aid can be submitted until the end of April.

“For a year now, the corona pandemic has determined public life and the economy in our district.

The restrictions to contain the infection are particularly hard hit by the catering trade, the hotels, the event organizers, the travel and tourism industry, the retail trade and the arts and culture industry, ”explains Otto Heinz, Chairman of the IHK regional committee Erding-Freising and IHK Vice-President .

“In the past few months, government aid has helped many entrepreneurs to secure their solvency.

But these can never compensate for all losses, ”says Heinz.

The committee chairman praised the quick processing of corona aid in Bavaria: "In no other federal state have so many applications been approved and payments made so quickly."
