Berglern - The municipality of Berglern starts selling the Kratzerwirt.
The Berglerner Bürgerliste got the ball rolling.
On Wednesday evening, after a long and at times emotionally heated debate, the local council decided to commission a specialist agency that specializes in the marketing of listed properties.
However, the committee still reserves the final decision as to whether and to whom a sale will take place.
Much will depend on what concepts the prospective buyers come up with.
As reported, the Berglerner Bürgerliste (BBL) had applied to the local council to sell the Kratzerwirt.
The Free Voters were most surprised.
Their spokesman Markus Geier reacted quite pissed off.
His main argument: “So far this has only been discussed non-publicly.
We would have liked to have discussed it publicly. ”They wanted to have different options, and that was why the proposal was not appropriate at this point in time.
Albert Furtner (FW) also wanted to keep the Kratzerwirt: "You don't sell that."
Robert Krieger (BBL) had previously justified the request and answered Furtner directly: "We bought this to tear it down." As is well known, the monument office intervened with the result that there must now even be an emergency safety device with a tin roof, which further deteriorates the optics and will cost money.
But it is precisely this emergency backup that gives the community time, said Geier.
The decisive votes came from the party-independent Berglernern (PUB), whose front man Vice Mayor Otmar Lerch is known for his stance that the Kratzerwirt must be preserved.
He, too, was amazed at the application.
It was in the swaying debate Christine Kohlschütter (FW) who made public that there was already an interested brokerage office.
That had already been there at one of the closed meetings.
Lerch can imagine a professionally supported sale.
In order to get a broader majority, Mayor Anton Scherer (BBL) formulated a modified proposal that stipulates precisely this professional support and at the same time leaves the matter somewhat open.
In this debate, Geier tried to pull the emergency brake and requested an adjournment.
Lerch then requested that the session be interrupted in order to be able to consult with the parliamentary group.
They used this time for themselves.
Lerch then recommended that the Free Voters withdraw the motion for an adjournment.
They did not follow this.
They wanted a decision.
However, the FW application fell through.
Scherer's motion then went through against the votes of the FW and ex-mayor Simon Oberhofer, who, incidentally, had not taken part in the debate at all.
The mayor now has the mandate to let the agency, known to the council from a closed meeting, go into action.
