The Syrian industry, with all its weight, attended the "Chem Expo" for chemical industries, which was held in the exhibition city in Damascus, to reiterate that the wheel of production continues in spite of all the difficulties and challenges.

The exhibition includes chemical industries and products, including industrial oils, green chemicals, veterinary medicines, organic and inorganic materials, solvents, acids, alcohols, textile and leather chemicals, in addition to soap, detergents, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products and their raw materials, agricultural chemicals, paints, ink, adhesives, laboratory technology and equipment, and service companies for the chemicals sector.

A number of visitors and participants confirmed in statements to SANA that the Syrian industry is proceeding on the steps of recovery and that the exhibition contributes to the definition and marketing of companies' products, as Ali Al-Azzam Al-Husseini, head of the "Businessmen in Iraq" organization, stated that the attendance of a number of Iraqi industrialists and traders came to support The Iraqi market needs the Syrian products that are distinguished by their competitive prices, high quality and diversity, and based on creative and innovative ideas.

And about how the exhibition contributed to the service of marketing companies between Rasoul Bayoush, director of a company for the distribution of medical and cosmetic materials, that they were able through the exhibition to get to know dealers and industrialists more broadly and to see the new materials that will be put on the market.

The importance of the exhibition lies in the fact that it hosted a number of companies whose products meet the needs of the local market, which will positively affect the national economy by introducing traders and industrialists to the national product and reducing the import bill, according to Dr. Luay Othman, director of a company specializing in the manufacture of sterilizers and medical materials, indicating that the exhibition is a suitable place to re-establish relations. Between the Syrian merchants and industrialists and their counterparts from neighboring countries in light of the unjust siege imposed on Syria.

While the paramedic Jamal, a sales manager for a company specializing in the manufacture of printing inks, saw that the exhibition was an opportunity to announce a new start for the company whose factory in Damascus countryside had been rehabilitated after it was destroyed by terrorism.

Meanwhile, Natalie Habib, a marketing officer at a pharmaceutical industries company, confirmed that the exhibition is the most appropriate place to display the sterilization products that the company recently made, in addition to introducing visitors to their products for export.

Sawsan Halawa, Sales Director at Paints Company, pointed out that their attendance at the exhibition came to secure the raw materials and stay in direct contact with the market and competing companies and communicate with the producers, while Marwan Habbal, director of a company for the manufacture of soap and shampoo, saw that the exhibition is an opportunity to see the products and prices of participating foreign and Arab companies.

A number of foreign companies participated in the exhibition, including an Iranian company specializing in the manufacture of raw materials for chemical industries, which are needed by the laboratories in Syria. Muhammad Hariri, the commercial and administrative director therein, pointed out that the company’s plant in southern Iran covers a large part of the Iraqi market’s need for raw materials and that it has started. The supply to the Syrian market for months, and the exhibition seeks to increase the volume of cooperation with Syrian companies during the coming period.

In turn, the chemist Abdullah Sultan, a member of the Syrian Chemical Society’s board of directors, explained that the aim of their participation is to introduce the society’s services related to providing practical consultations and studies with everything related to chemistry in all sectors and specializations.

The exhibition continues until the fourth of this month, when it opens its doors daily from three in the afternoon until nine in the evening.
