The community once numbered 50,000 people.
Today, less than 10 Jews remain in Yemen
Thirteen members of the tiny community recently left the country for Egypt, following the war between the Houthis and the Saudi coalition.
According to some reports, the rebels, whose one slogan is "Death to the Jews," forced them to leave, while others claim that the parties reached an agreement.

Thirteen Jews from Yemen were recently forced to immigrate to Egypt because of the country's raging civil war, and today there are less than ten members left from a Jewish community that once numbered 50,000 people.
According to some reports, the Houthi rebels, who have the support of Iran and now control large parts of the country, are the ones who forced the Jews to leave Yemen.
However, a report in the Times of Israel claimed that the refugees had reached an agreement with the Houthis, and left for Cairo of their own free will.
According to media reports, they refused an offer to immigrate to Israel.
Other Jewish families in Yemen have left the country in recent months and immigrated to the United Arab Emirates.
The United Arab Emirates maintains full diplomatic relations with Israel, following the signing of the Abrahamic Agreements last year.

Most Yemeni Jews immigrated to Israel shortly after the establishment of the state, following the waves of anti-Semitism that swept the Arab world after the 1948 war.
In 2016, a group of 19 Yemeni Jews were smuggled into Israel as part of a secret operation coordinated with the Jewish Agency.
In 2008, a Jewish teacher was murdered in the city of Raida and there was a sharp rise in attacks against Jews in Yemen.
In 2012, another Yemeni Jew was murdered in Sanaa, and a young Jewish woman was abducted, forced to convert to Islam and forcibly married a Muslim man.
Since 2014, the Houthis have ruled Sanaa and most of northern Yemen.
One of their cries is "Death to the Jews," and they teach antisemitic education in schools.
