Easter will be celebrated tomorrow (Sunday), and Europe will celebrate its second year in a row with strict restrictions.

Corona's vaccination campaign is faltering, with delays in shipments and more cases of blood clots on astrazhenica vaccines, and many countries have announced new regulations to try and fight the virus until its effects are felt.

Italy went into a three-day closure for the holiday, in order to try and narrow the jump slightly in the number of patients in the country.

All areas in the country are now defined as "red", and the number of people infected with the virus has jumped during the third wave to about 20,000 a day.

Non-essential movement is prohibited, but the Easter meal can be celebrated with two other adults.

The Italian government has announced that it will increase its police force by an additional 70,000 police officers during the holiday, in order to monitor enforcement of the restrictions.

Churches in the state will remain open, but worshipers have been told that they should attend ceremonies only in their areas of residence.

This is the second year in a row that Pope Francis will deliver his Easter sermon when St. Peter's Square is empty of people.

Even after the holiday some parts of the country will remain under strict restrictions, at least until the end of the month.

In all, more than 100,000 people have died from the virus in Italy, and at least 3.6 million have been found to be positive for the virus since the outbreak.

In Britain, it was reported today that seven people who received the Astraznica corona vaccine have died due to the formation of blood clots, the British Medicines Agency said.

In all, about 30 cases of blood clots have been identified among people who received the vaccine in the country, out of about 18 million who were vaccinated by March 24.

Despite this, health agencies have reiterated that the benefits of immunization outweigh the risks.

The agency also said that it was not yet clear whether it was a coincidence or whether there was a connection to the vaccine, but some countries around the world, including Germany, France and the Netherlands, had already decided to restrict the use of the vaccine.

At this stage investigations are still underway to determine with the Asterazenica vaccine a cause of rare blood clots, but earlier this month the European Medicines Agency said the vaccine was "safe and effective".
