Archbishop Krikor Koussa, Bishop of Alexandria, affirmed to the Armenian Catholics that Syria was and will remain a country of peace and love.
Archbishop Krikor congratulated Syria on the occasion of the glorious Easter feast, in the Pontifical Mass, which was attended yesterday evening by Ambassador Dr. Bassam Darwish, Head of the Syrian Diplomatic Mission in Egypt and Deputy Head of Mission Saud Abbas.
He prayed for peace to prevail in Syria and the rest of the region and the world, for evils to be kept away from them, for safety and for the crises they are going through.
Bishop Krikor noted that the resurrection of Christ calls for wars to stop and end, for the world to pass through evil, and for love to be everyone's language and message, and he said, “The resurrection of Christ is a better life for us.
He added: We ask the Lord Jesus to grant us strength and to end the wars that harm everyone.
The mass was attended by a number of Egyptian state leaders to congratulate the glorious Easter Day.
