Update from April 4, 8:37 a.m

.: As of today, the emergency brake in Munich will apply.

That means: Shops are mostly closed, there is a curfew from today, 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following day, Munich residents are allowed to meet at most as one household plus one other person.

The fact that the incidence has fallen slightly again to 94.5 cannot change that for the time being.

Update from April 3, 4.30 p.m.:

The RKI reports a seven-day incidence of 98.8 for the state capital Munich on Saturday afternoon.

This means that the metropolis on the Isar is once again slipping below the relevant limit of 100 for the “emergency brake”. However, this value will not have any impact on the tightened measures from Sunday.

As the city informs via Twitter, the stricter corona rules will come into effect as planned on Easter Sunday at midnight.

Corona in Bavaria: RKI on Bavarian vaccination data - "Can't do much with that"

Update from April 3, 4.10 p.m.:

The Robert Koch Institute operates a Germany-wide vaccination monitoring system in order to be able to distribute the available vaccine doses as efficiently as possible within the country.

As RKI spokeswoman Susanne Glasmacher announced to the BR, there was primarily a problem with data from Bavaria.

"We still can't do much with the Bavarian vaccination data, and we urgently need them," said Glasmacher, expressing her criticism in the direction of Munich.

Corona in Bavaria: RKI dissatisfied with Bavarian vaccination dates

The problem: From March 22nd, the Free State will use the digital vaccination monitoring (DIM) software to transmit the relevant data to the RKI.

Previously, the vaccination data were only sent to the authorities in summarized form, which is why a large part of the data should be incomplete.

In its declaration, the Bavarian Ministry of Health relies on data protection reasons that are said to have led to the incomplete data.

However, there is sharp criticism from the opposition.

Among other things, the spokesman for digitization of the Greens in the Bavarian state parliament, Benjamin Adjei, is calling for the omissions to be made up for quickly.

Especially with a view to the vaccinations that are going to be carried out by general practitioners, the state of Bavaria must develop a concept as to how the data can be transmitted quickly and adequately documented.

Corona in Bavaria: Hof incidence scratches the 400 mark

Update from April 3, 11:33 a.m.:

And again Bavaria occupies first places nationwide in the sad hit list for the top corona incidence.

Only the Greiz district in Thuringia is even worse and takes first place with an incidence of 537.0.

But then there is already Hof.

The Upper Franconian city has an incidence of 395, which is a huge scratch at the 400 mark.

Districts from Upper Franconia are also in eighth and tenth place: Kronach with 343.1 and Kulmbach with 334.0.

The corona rules have been tightened again in all three regions.

In Hof there is even a mask requirement for children at playgrounds.

In Kronach, according to information from the BR, the British mutant is apparently responsible for the area-wide spread.

In the district of Kulmbach, the Catholic Church has canceled all attendance services.

Corona in Bavaria: Numbers continue to rise at Easter - Söder calls for a waiver

Update from April 2, 10:03 p.m .:

"It was foreseeable, but it is bitter that we have now broken the 100 mark at Easter of all times and thus tightened measures will take effect again from Sunday." That said Munich's Lord Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD ) in an urban communication.

"I wish all Munich residents, despite everything, a relaxing holiday for this second Easter in the pandemic."

Update from April 2, 5:56 p.m

.: The corona numbers continue to rise.

Markus Söder therefore calls on people in the Free State to do without.

"Usually Easter is the festival when you meet with family, visit friends, go on trips," said Bavaria's Prime Minister, according to the speech manuscript, in his Easter address, which is to be broadcast on Saturday.

Because of Corona, the situation looks different: "So: Don't travel, meet fewer people and be mindful and

take care of

each other."

In his address, Söder also refers to the long-term consequences of Corona, which could be serious.

If you pay attention, you can prevent serious consequences.

The situation is getting better because a group the size of a small town is vaccinated every day in Bavaria alone.

Munich exceeds the limit: hard lockdown rules are coming - clinic boss sounds the alarm

Update from April 2, 1:55 p.m.:

If you also confuse the current Corona rules at Easter for Bavaria a little: We have tried to remedy the situation *.

Meanwhile, Gerhard Schneider, Director of the Clinic for Intensive Care Medicine at Klinikum rechts der Isar, warns

Munich again over 100 incidence - emergency brake comes into force - lockdown from Sunday

Update from April 2, 6:22 a.m.:

Most have already seen it coming.

After the state capital had been so close to the critical 100 mark for so long, it is now over.

Munich also cracks the 100 on Good Friday for the 7-day incidence with a value of 104.3 according to the RKI.

Because the whole emergency brake rule was a bit confusing during the Easter holidays, the city clarified yesterday: If the 100 mark is broken again on Good Friday, Munich will go into the new lockdown from Easter Sunday.

All previous relaxations will be invalid from Easter Sunday and the controversial curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. will even apply again.

For an exact overview of the rules, scroll down to

the first report from April 1st, 5.30 p.m.

Update from April 1st, 10:23 pm:

"The situation is more serious than many believe," said Markus Söder on Wednesday via Twitter.

“We now need a uniform spirit in all 16 federal states.

With incidences over 100, the emergency brake must be implemented consistently without further hesitation.

We have to fight Corona consistently, ”he continued.

The CSU boss made it clear what should happen in the event of a high corona incidence: The emergency brake and stricter rules should come into force.

This could also happen in Munich from Easter Sunday.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the state capital already exceeded the limit of 100. If Munich is above this for the third day in a row (Good Friday), there is a risk of consequences (see first report).

Corona in Bavaria: Söder-Minister gives indirect rejection - Munich will not become a "model municipality"

Relaxation for Munich was only in prospect for a short time: Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD *) had campaigned for the state capital to become a “model commune”.

With a current and negative Corona test *, participants can benefit from openings in outdoor restaurants, shops and culture.

On Tuesday, however, it became clear that Munich would not be a “model municipality”.

Bavaria's Minister of Health, Klaus Holetschek, gave an indirect rejection.

The CSU * politician made it clear that only cities with less than 100,000 inhabitants come into question - the end for Munich.

"Unfortunately, Corona does not have an Easter break": Söder warns of rising numbers

Also on Tuesday, Prime Minister Markus Söder warned of a further increase in the numbers.

"Unfortunately, Corona does not have an Easter break.

We are vigilant every day.

The increase needs to be slowed down, ”he wrote on Twitter.

“The faster the relief comes, the more long-term the success will be.

We don't make false openings.

The vaccination is only effective at low incidences, ”he emphasized.
